Ladies Pullover Sweatshirts

Reverse-applique is the technique used in making my ladies pullover sweatshirts.   I use Jerzees or Gildan brand 50% poly/50% cotton sweatshirts so there is no shrinking, twisting, or pilling during normal wash and dry cycles.   Fabric is double-stitched and a window is cut out of the sweatshirt so the pattern shows through.  Even though the sweatshirt has been cut, there will be no raveling beyond the first set of stitching.   What will happen is the border around the window will roll, forming a frame and making the image appear two dimensional.  

I prefer to have the lower elasticized band cut off to make the sweatshirt tunic style which is flattering to any figure.   But you may prefer the elasticized band to be left on the bottom.  Please make sure you choose between tunic-style and regular banded bottom.

 When appropriate, a button or two will be sewn onto the fabric enhancing the design.
